La Passione secures strategic growth plan with a new investment round

Cycling and textile culture, technology and a lot of "passion": these are the ingredients of the growth of La Passione, which is announcing a new investment round to secure strategic growth plan, achieving a total investment of 7 million euros over four years.

New financial operation for the Direct-to-Consumer cycling clothing brand. We have climbed many positions in the market in terms of sales, becoming a relevant brand in the industry. Now we want to increase our brand awareness, exploring new territories where online and offline marketing are integrated. The round will grant the development of these new projects”.

For this new round, following the one done in 2019, the institutional investors originally onboard with La Passione since the beginning are confirming their trust in the project: Milano Investment Partner (MIP), Club Italia Investimenti 2, Club Digitale and Cyclo Club.
Two valuable business angels are also joining, both with more than 15 years of different experiences useful for the growth of La Passione: Alberto Grignolo, ex-Coo of Yoox Net-a-Porter Group, and Andrea Tonti, ex-professional cyclist with active participation in numerous editions of the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and World Championships.
La Passione is today the sole pure player DTC cycling clothing brand, with a 2021 turnover that will grow further - involving more than 40 nations - and exceeding 10 million euros, 35% of which in the USA and UK, followed by Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy and Spain.
